SALES CONSULTANT - PART TIME

3 days per week 9.30 - 18.30
Location: 10 Old Bond Street 

Job Description:

Job Summary: To provide optimum sales for the company. Deliver high levels of customer service in a prompt, pleasant and effective manner.

Essential Experience: Experience in Men's/Women's wear and accessories. Good customer service and selling skills, high personal standards and pleasant manner. Ability to learn and work as part of a team. Have a positive and flexible attitude and be honest and reliable. 

Key Tasks:
Selling
  • Achieve sales targets
  • Identify customer needs and associate with merchandise in stock
  • Introduce related sales when appropriate
  • Organise alterations for customers as required
  • Process sales through the till and PDQ
  • Ensure sales are closed courteously and any after-sales service completed competently 
  • Record lost sales and pass to Manager daily
Store Procedures
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of stock
  • Ensure all stock is clean, tidy and well presented
  • Transfer stock to other store as required
  • Unpack and put away deliveries 
  • Complete store paperwork as required
  • Identify current merchandise used for display / advertising
  • Acquire knowledge of display techniques and their value as visual aids to selling
Customer Service
  • Maintain the high standard of customer service required by the company 
  • Contact the Manager if any query cannot be satisfactorily dealt with 
  • Deal with telephone queries promptly and courteously 
  • Watch for an immediately report theft or any other causes of shrinkage 
Systems and Procedures
  • Know and adhere to the Company / Store Rules and Regulations
  • Maintain required standard of dress and appearance
  • Understand and adhere to Company procedures on: breaks, days off on rota, holidays absences etc.
  • Ensure that refunds, returns and exchanges have correct management authorisation 
  • Ensure the correct use of tills and deal correctly with recognised methods of payment
  • Ensure administrative duties are carries out efficiently and managerial authorisation is obtained where necessary
