PR & MARKETING MANAGER - JULY

JOB SUMMARY: PUBLIC RELATIONS

In-House Pr

·       Day-to-day contact with fashion journalists for product placement of DAKS collections in publications – menswear, womenswear and accessories

·       Manage the PR & Marketing Assistant in the logging, packing and sending out of samples to publications

·       Manage the PR & Marketing Assistant in the monitoring of samples and chasing publications when necessary

·       Oversee the assistant in the management of the press sample room – booking in returns, keeping organised etc

·       Make sure that the press database is kept up to date

·       Manage the changing over of seasonal samples from the showrooms to press room

·       Manage the assistant in the sorting of samples for sample sales and helping with stock take where necessary

·       Initial writing of seasonal press releases to be approved by Head of PR and Advertising as well as extra news press releases

·       Collation of press cuttings and production of bi-monthly press reports

·       Internal circulation of all publications featuring DAKS product and regular communication with retail stores.

·        

Pr Agency Support

·       Day-to-day support to Italian PR agency

·       Manage the assistant in the tracking & monitoring of sample movement across the UK & Europe

·       Coordinate the press release translation

·       Deal with all general queries / phone calls and delegate these to assistant where necessary

 

 Press Materials

·       Organise and coordinate with the Head of Pr & Advertising all photography – both cut out imagery and larger scale images for look books

·       Coordinate with all external PR’s for requirements of press materials

·       Manage seasonal press mailings

Seasonal Press Days

·       Manage and attend seasonal press days

Events & Sponsorship

 

·       Assist the Head of PR & Advertising in all aspects of the organisation of seasonal London Fashion Week Show and Milan Menswear Catwalk show to include:

Overall liaising with Production companies and management of budgets together with Head of PR & Advertising

Coordination of guest lists and liaising with PR agencies

Management of Assistant in general show support/support to design team and sponsors etc

·       Involvement in the organisation of other key events to include annual Royal Windsor Horse Show and store events etc.

 

Social Media

 

·       Day to Day management along with PR assistant of all the social media sites- facebook, twitter, instagram, pinterest and development of a content plan in line with overall marketing plan

 

                 

Campaign Photographic Shoot

·       Assist the Head of Dept with the organisation of the  photo shoot

·       Involvement in creative meetings

·       Management of assistant in the liaising with licensing and retail teams re merchandise and coordinating lists

·       Management of assistant in checking sales progress of all items selected in each market

·       Management of assistant in listing and packing up samples

 MARKETING

To be responsible for developing and maintaining marketing strategies to meet agreed company objectives. To evaluate customer research, market conditions, and competitor data and implement marketing plan alterations as needed.

·       Develop a seasonal marketing plan with the Head of Pr and Advertising and in conjunction with the retail and licensing departments.

·       Liaise closely on a regular basis with the Retail store managers.

 

Database Management

·       Use Salesforce software to manage the DAKS customer database/campaigns

·       Work with other third party agencies where necessary to clean up and manage the database

·       Customer profiling

·       Management and segmentation of database with CCR (database company).

·       Liaise with CCR for print and mailings

·       Manage sign up for new customer details and any new customer info from third parties and or promotions/competitions

 

Database Marketing

·       Work closely with Graphic Designer to engage with DAKS customers via weekly e-mails to support the promotional calendar and business activity

·       Manage direct mail campaigns where appropriate and in relation to promotions

 

Website

·       Work with the Graphic Designer to update the homepage and manage all content for online

·       Manage web developers (Eurostop) and any improvements/changes including new legislation

·       Produce seasonal updates for website

·       Manage day-to-day website

·       Work with photography studio to shoot product images for web in the correct formats.

·       Use Google analytics

 

Budget Management

 

Marketing material

·       Oversee design and production of brochures.

·       Oversee design and production of seasonal mailers.

·       Production of mailing list forms.

·       Vouchers/Competition forms for promotions and customers including all terms and conditions

·       Managing orders and delivery for all items.

·       Keep all partners such as the Bond Street Association and Jermyn Street Association up to date with seasonal images and info.

 

Organise in-store events and promotions

Create in store promotions in line with Retail and subject to approval to generate increased footfall and sales

 Advertising

 Coordinate all sale advertising with the media agency

Coordinate all tactical advertising campaigns for promotions

Coordinate all online advertising and promotions as necessary
